This pudding has caramel added into the custard batter to bake in the oven. I like the aroma and a bit of bitterness brings out by the caramel. Also, the texture is very smooth and creamy. As the
recipe says, a good quality of vanilla bean is one of the keys for this pudding. Since this is not difficult to make and can be baked ahead of time, I need to tell self don't make them too often and save in the fridge, that's very dangerous.
